Ellie Salkow (54)
Executive Chairman
Ellie began his career as a salesman and entrepreneur both in South Africa and later in the UK. On returning to South Africa to sell TV aerials for Aerial King, he was employed at the company as a sales representative. In 1979 he started Ellies with great entrepreneurial spirit and steadily grew the business from 5 staff to 908 staff in 28 years.
Wayne Samson (43)
Chief Executive Officer
Wayne has been a loyal member of the Ellies team for 18 years. Elevating himself from his initial position as an assistant in the dispatch and factory division to General Manager in 1993, Wayne was appointed in 1998 as Operations Director of the group. The major operations report directly to Wayne.
Mike Levitt (59)

Chief Financial Officer
In 1971 Mike and his brother established the renowned clothing group Goophees, growing the operations to 14 branches which they subsequently sold to Smiley Blue in 1984. Mike later joined Ellies in 1997 after serving as divisional Managing Director at the Fintech Group for 13 years. He started as Financial Manager for Archsat and after six months was promoted to Chief Financial Officer of the group, the position he holds today.
James Murray (40)
Investor Relations / Mergers & Acquisitions
James began his career in marketing with South African Breweries Miller before being headhunted to Microsoft South Africa. He has worked in the information technology industry for fifteen years, focused primarily in sales and marketing. During that time he has successfully listed technology companies TCO Holdings, ERP.com and Xantium Technologies, which he built from inception and is today renamed Simeka BSG and listed on AltX. James remains a significant shareholder in Simeka BSG. James also holds a position on the South African Council of Bankers.
Raymond Berkman (50)
Executive Director
Raymond worked at Woolworths as Department Manager prior to joining Ellies and assisting in the growth of the business. In 1985 he established Ellies Cape Town as the first official branch of Ellies. Raymond has since grown the staff count there from only 5 to 71 members.

Andrew Brooking (42)

Andrew is an attorney and a member of the New York Bar. In 1999 he was one of the founders of the business that is now Java Capital. Before that he was a partner at Edward Nathan & Friedland Inc, working in areas of commercial law including mergers and acquisitions and banking.
Hilton Epstein (57)

Hilton is Senior Counsel at the Johannesburg Bar where he served as a member of the Johannesburg Bar Council for fourteen years, becoming Chairman in 2003. He is currently Leader of Sandton Advocates Chambers Three, a position he has held for the past ten years.
Mahlubi Mazwi (36)

Mahlubi moved into corporate finance first at African Merchant Bank and then at Deutsche Bank after working for the Tongaat-Hulett Group. He is currently Managing Director of consulting house MIG Corporate Finance, which he started from inception. He was recently involved in the formation of Incwala Resources (Pty) Limited as the BEE partner to Lonmin Plc’s South African-based platinum assets and in the reverse take-over of Rebserve Limited by Mvelaphanda Investments Limited. Together with Jack Phalane (a partner at Fluxmans Inc.), he formed BEE company Famatla Capital in 2005.
